Calculator Lock / Photo Vault Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Calculator Lock / Photo Vault, an Android local-device privacy vault app published by Sababa Creations. By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the app's Privacy Policy.
Calculator Lock is a local-device privacy utility. It is not a cloud backup, PIN recovery, legal-compliance, surveillance, evidence, or guaranteed data-recovery service. You are responsible for remembering your PINs, using the app lawfully, and keeping independent backups of files you cannot afford to lose.
1. Acceptance and Scope
These Terms apply to Calculator Lock / Photo Vault, its free and premium features, in-app purchase flows, ads, support links, diagnostics screen, legal pages, Google Play listing, and related app content provided by Sababa Creations.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install, access, purchase, or use the app. Additional terms from Google Play, Android, Firebase, AdMob, Google UMP, Meta/Facebook Audience Network, your device manufacturer, billing provider, email provider, storage provider, advertisers, and destination apps may also apply when you use those services.
2. What Calculator Lock Does
Calculator Lock is a calculator-style local privacy vault. It lets you import supported photos, videos, audio files, PDFs, documents, other files, and secure notes into encrypted app-private storage on your Android device. The app may offer local viewing, PDF preview, albums, favorites, filters, Trash, auto-lock, screenshot restrictions on sensitive screens, clipboard cleanup paths, local diagnostics, optional Intruder Detection, and premium features.
The app does not provide a Sababa Creations cloud account for vault content. The app cannot recover your PIN, restore deleted local content, restore content after an uninstall or app-data clear, guarantee export success, guarantee deletion of originals, or guarantee access after device loss, factory reset, operating-system change, data corruption, unsupported device state, platform change, or third-party service failure.
3. Calculator Disguise and Responsible Use
Calculator Lock is intentionally disguised as a calculator and provides hidden vault access. The calculator disguise is intended to protect your own lawful private content on devices you own or are authorized to use.
- Do not use the disguise to store, conceal, create, distribute, export, or share illegal, non-consensual, exploitative, abusive, infringing, or prohibited content.
- Do not use the disguise to violate court orders, workplace policies, parental controls, device-owner rules, privacy laws, evidence-preservation obligations, export laws, or any other applicable legal obligation.
- Do not misrepresent the app as a guarantee that no person, platform, device owner, administrator, investigator, security tool, or lawful process can discover the app or its contents.
- Use the app only in a lawful and responsible way that respects the rights, privacy, and property of others.
4. Eligibility and Target Audience
- You must be legally able to accept these Terms.
- The app is not directed to children or users under 18.
- If you are not legally permitted to use the app, manage private files, grant device permissions, or make purchases in your region, do not use the app.
- You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your files, device, camera use, ads, purchases, privacy, intellectual property, imports, exports, sharing, and deletion actions.
5. License and Ownership
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Sababa Creations grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Calculator Lock on Android devices that you own or control, as permitted by Google Play and applicable law.
Calculator Lock, including its software, design, interface, text, graphics, feature names, workflows, app structure, and original content, is owned by Sababa Creations or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You do not acquire ownership of the app, source code, trademarks, service names, or proprietary app content.
6. Security Responsibilities, No PIN Recovery, and No Guaranteed Backup
Calculator Lock uses local encryption and Android platform protections to reduce exposure of vault content, but you remain responsible for safe use of the app and your device.
- Keep each vault PIN secret and memorable. Sababa Creations cannot recover lost PINs.
- Use non-obvious PINs and understand that each vault PIN unlocks only the corresponding vault/session.
- Keep independent backups of files you cannot afford to lose before importing, deleting originals, exporting, unlocking to device, deleting vaults, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app.
- Keep your device locked, keep Android updated, avoid malware, and understand that rooted, compromised, shared, employer-managed, or administrator-controlled devices can weaken app-level protections.
- Do not rely on privacy, disguise, encryption, deletion, Trash, auto-lock, Intruder Detection, screenshot protection, clipboard cleanup, or temporary-file cleanup as a guarantee of secrecy, concealment, deletion, or recovery.
- Understand that temporary plaintext may exist during viewing, sharing, export, PDF preview, open-with, or unlock-to-device operations.
7. Your Content, Imports, Exports, Sharing, and Deletion
You retain your rights in files and notes that you import or create in Calculator Lock. You are solely responsible for the legality, ownership, backup, accuracy, sensitivity, and handling of your content.
- Imports: When you import content, the app creates a local encrypted copy and stores related local metadata such as file name, MIME type, size, dimensions, duration, timestamps, hash, album assignment, favorite state, and source-embedded metadata where present. Import batch sizes, rewarded-import eligibility, and related options may vary by product tier and current in-app configuration. The app displays the options and limits that apply at the time of import.
- Originals: Original files may remain outside the vault after import. If the app offers deletion of originals, Android or the source provider may require confirmation or deny deletion. You must verify whether originals were actually removed.
- Metadata: Imported files may include EXIF, GPS/location, camera, audio, or document metadata. The app may store this metadata locally and may preserve it when content is exported or shared.
- Share: Share actions can temporarily decrypt files and send them to another app. Once shared, the destination app, recipient, or service controls further handling.
- Export: Export creates an unencrypted copy outside the vault in a destination you select. Exported files may be indexed, backed up, synced, scanned, or accessed by other apps depending on where you save them.
- Unlock to Device: Unlock-to-device moves content out of the vault to ordinary device storage and may move the vault copy to Trash. The exported copy is not protected by Calculator Lock encryption.
- Trash: Deleted media and secure notes may remain in Trash for up to 30 days before permanent deletion, unless you permanently delete sooner. Permanent deletion, vault deletion, clearing app data, uninstalling, or device reset may be irreversible.
- Secure Notes: Secure Notes are encrypted local text notes in the unlocked vault. You are responsible for their content and for any copy, share, screenshot, or export action you perform.
8. PDFs, Documents, Clipboard, and External Links
- PDF preview may temporarily decrypt vaulted PDFs into app-private temporary storage so they can be viewed locally.
- PDF document passwords are separate from vault PINs. PDF password attempts are not vault PIN attempts and do not trigger Intruder Detection.
- Text copied from PDFs or support diagnostics may be placed on the Android clipboard. The app uses cleanup paths for sensitive clipboard flows, but clipboard security cannot be guaranteed on every device or Android version.
- External links inside PDFs require confirmation before another app or website is opened. The destination app, website, browser, advertiser, or service is responsible for its own terms, privacy, and security practices.
- Non-PDF documents may need to be exported, unlocked to device, shared, or opened with another app if in-app preview is not supported.
9. Intruder Detection and Camera Feature
Intruder Detection is an optional feature that may require premium access, camera permission, and a compatible front camera. After you enable it, grant camera permission, and meet any premium entitlement requirement, the app may capture a front-camera photo after repeated failed PIN attempts without an additional prompt and store a local encrypted intruder log.
- Intruder Detection is intended to help you protect a device that you own or are authorized to secure.
- Captured intruder photos and logs are designed to remain local and encrypted in app-private storage unless you export, share, screenshot, copy, send, or otherwise disclose them.
- You must not use Intruder Detection for unlawful surveillance, workplace monitoring, recording without required consent, monitoring minors without authority, monitoring shared devices without authority, or any other unlawful purpose.
- Camera capture, privacy, recording, evidence, employment, household, and consent laws vary by location and situation. Sababa Creations does not promise that your use of Intruder Detection is lawful.
11. Ads, AdMob, UMP, and Mediation Partners
The free version of Calculator Lock may show ads. Premium access is intended to remove in-app ads while a valid entitlement is active and recognized by the app.
- Ads may be served by Google Mobile Ads / AdMob.
- The app uses Google UMP to request consent information and display consent or privacy-choice forms where required or available.
- The app may use AdMob mediation and configured mediation partners, including Meta/Facebook Audience Network, where enabled by the release build, Remote Config, AdMob, and partner configuration.
- Ads and ad partners may process identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP address, Advertising ID where available and permitted, app interactions, ad interactions, device information, diagnostics, account/device identifiers, consent signals, and advertising-related data as described in the Privacy Policy and third-party policies.
- Ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, technically delivered, or otherwise restricted depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, Android advertising controls, and ad partner configuration.
- Do not abuse, manipulate, automate, fraudulently click, interfere with, reverse engineer, or otherwise misuse ads, ad requests, mediation, frequency caps, consent flows, or ad measurement.
- Advertisers, ad networks, mediated ad sources, and destination websites or apps may have their own terms and privacy policies. Sababa Creations is not responsible for third-party ads or advertiser destinations outside its control.
12. Third-Party Services and Platform Dependencies
Calculator Lock depends on Android and Google services for important functionality and may interact with other services you choose. Third parties operate under their own terms and policies and may change independently of Sababa Creations.
- Android and device services: app sandboxing, device security, camera, media access, photo picker, file picker, Storage Access Framework, MediaStore, FileProvider sharing, clipboard, app settings, permissions, and launcher aliases.
- Google Play: app distribution, billing, subscriptions, one-time purchases, purchase restore, refunds/cancellations, reviews, Play Store links, and in-app updates.
- Firebase: Remote Config and, if you enable optional telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, and performance diagnostics.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob and UMP: ad serving, ad measurement, consent, privacy choices, fraud prevention, reporting, and mediation.
- Meta/Facebook Audience Network and configured mediation partners: mediated ad delivery and related ad processing where enabled.
- Destination apps and providers: email, browsers, file managers, gallery apps, cloud storage, media players, PDF/link destinations, support channels, and other apps you select for export, share, open-with, billing, update, or support actions.
Sababa Creations is not responsible for outages, policy changes, account restrictions, data handling, fees, compatibility issues, ad content, payment processing, refund outcomes, security incidents, or failures caused by third-party platforms or destination apps outside our control.
13. Prohibited Conduct
- Do not use the app to store, conceal, create, possess, distribute, export, or share illegal, infringing, exploitative, abusive, non-consensual, harmful, or prohibited content, including child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate material, harassment material, or content you do not have the right to handle.
- Do not use the app to violate privacy, camera, recording, surveillance, employment, household, intellectual-property, export-control, child-safety, evidence, or data-protection laws.
- Do not attempt to recover, guess, brute-force, bypass, defeat, tamper with, or disable PIN, lock, entitlement, billing, telemetry, ads, consent, update, or security mechanisms except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, copy, modify, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Do not submit false support requests, false purchase claims, false refund claims, or abuse Google Play, billing, ads, support, or review systems.
- Do not use the app to harm Sababa Creations, Google, Meta, advertisers, other users, devices, networks, or third-party services.
- Do not interfere with ads, fraud prevention, consent choices, or ad measurement, including by automated clicking, artificial impressions, invalid traffic, or manipulation of ad-serving logic.
14. Privacy
Your use of Calculator Lock is also governed by the Calculator Lock Privacy Policy, available at https://sababasystems.com/calculator-lock/privacy/. The Privacy Policy explains how the app handles local vault content, permissions, imports, originals, metadata, Trash, Intruder Detection, PDF handling, exports, sharing, ads, UMP consent, Advertising ID, Firebase, Google Play Billing, in-app updates, diagnostics, retention, and third-party services.
15. Support and Feedback
Support may be provided through email, website links, Google Play, or in-app support flows. We may be unable to resolve issues caused by lost PINs, deleted files, deleted originals, exports, app-data clear, uninstall, device reset, device loss, unsupported devices, rooted devices, third-party apps, Google Play account issues, ad partner issues, network outages, or local data corruption.
If you send non-confidential suggestions or feedback to Sababa Creations, you allow us to use that feedback to support, maintain, improve, secure, and operate Calculator Lock without an obligation to compensate you. Crash details, diagnostic reports, screenshots, support messages, and other potentially sensitive support materials are used only as needed to provide support, maintain or secure the app, comply with law, and prevent abuse. This does not give us ownership of your vault files or permission to use support materials for unrelated marketing.
16. Updates, Availability, Feature Changes, and Remote Configuration
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, limit, rename, reconfigure, or discontinue features, products, prices, promotions, ad settings, ad partners, import thresholds, lifetime offers, subscription plans, configuration values, update requirements, support channels, or the app itself where permitted by law and platform rules.
Some changes may be delivered through app updates, Google Play, Firebase Remote Config, or other configuration services. The app may prompt for optional updates or require an immediate/mandatory update for security, compatibility, policy, legal, billing, ads, or functionality reasons. You are responsible for installing updates needed for continued use.
Calculator Lock may not work on all Android versions, devices, storage providers, regions, Google Play accounts, rooted devices, custom ROMs, future platform releases, or third-party service configurations. Network-dependent functions such as ads, consent, billing, purchase restore, in-app updates, Remote Config, legal links, and support email require compatible services and connectivity.
17. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calculator Lock is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Sababa Creations does not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, immune to attack, undetectable, accepted by every platform, able to prevent every disclosure or copy, able to recover lost data, able to delete originals from every source, able to preserve every export, or sufficient for any legal, professional, security, compliance, evidence, or backup purpose.
No privacy, encryption, disguise, camera, PIN, deletion, Trash, auto-lock, screenshot protection, clipboard cleanup, Intruder Detection, ads consent, or temporary-file cleanup feature can guarantee complete protection against all user actions, device compromise, operating-system behavior, cloud backup, malware, physical access, screenshots by other devices, rooted-device behavior, third-party apps, advertisers, or lawful access.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sababa Creations and its affiliates, contributors, suppliers, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, including loss of data, loss of content, disclosure of content, failure to delete content, lost PINs, failed exports, lost profits, loss of goodwill, device issues, purchase issues, ad issues, service interruption, security incidents, or third-party conduct, even if advised of the possibility of those damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sababa Creations' total liability for claims relating to Calculator Lock will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid Sababa Creations for Calculator Lock through Google Play during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) INR 5,000. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
19. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Calculator Lock at any time. Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, deleting vaults, emptying Trash, permanently deleting items, or resetting your device may permanently remove local vault content and settings. You are responsible for exporting or backing up files before taking irreversible actions.
Sababa Creations may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to app functionality, premium entitlements, ads, support, updates, or other services where permitted by law if you violate these Terms, misuse billing, ads, support, or security systems, create legal or security risk, or where Google Play, law, or platform requirements require action. Termination does not automatically cancel subscriptions; subscriptions must be managed through Google Play.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. Subject to mandatory law, courts located at Ernakulam, Kerala, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or Calculator Lock.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@sababasystems.com and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally, unless urgent legal relief or mandatory law requires otherwise.
21. Miscellaneous
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
- Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale, transfer, or legal change involving the app or business.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown by Google Play, form the agreement between you and Sababa Creations for Calculator Lock.
- Headings are for convenience only and do not limit the meaning of these Terms.
